I was really happy to learn about Etsy through a fellow artist and friend.

It's wonderful to be part of a huge, international artist's community like this.

I work at home, in a small studio I have put together. It's the amazing light and energizing surroundings that inspire me.
Lots of favorite photos, music, and the sounds of nature surround me each day.
The light and colors change constantly, and bring new ideas to me.
It doesn't get much better than that!

My creative life started while my sons were young.

I started a small hat company, Hat Tricks, by Penney Stone. I designed and decorated hats, bags and women's accessories. I learned so much and had a good run with it all, but really missed the art work .

I decided I'd jump back in, by taking classes and developing new techniques.
Also, teaching myself through reading everything I could, was also a venue, thanks to the internet.

Today, as I look back, I am grateful to my high school art teacher, Ms. Pearl Starbird. She encouraged me and pushed me all through high school.
I will never forget her and hope that some day, I might be this very special inspiration for someone else.
